1. The petitioner apprehends that WBSEDCL may take steps to install electric pole in front of the petitioner's gate.

2. From the report of the Station Manager, Nazirpur Customer Care Centre, WBSEDCL addressed to the Officer-in-Charge, Thanarpara Police Station on 20th September, 2024, it appears that for the purpose of providing new industrial connection of contractual load 15 KW, new high tension line will be required to be drawn for which one pole will be erected over the Government land. Electric lines will be drawn in accordance with the safety guidelines. Demarcation of the property has been made.

3. It is the specific contention of the learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited that electric pole will not be installed over the private land of the petitioner and all safety measures will be taken care of at the time of providing new connection to the private respondent.

4. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Station Manager to ensure that the pole is not erected over the private land of the petitioner and all safety measures are implemented at the time of effecting supply.

5. The authority shall also take note of the position of the petitioner's main gate at the time of installation of the electric pole. The entry and exit to the gate will not be obstructed.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
