3. The petitioner claims interest on delayed payment of terminal benefits. The petitioner superannuated from service of the WBTCL on April 30, 2024. He received his Provident Fund benefits of Rs.61,11,406/- towards Provident Fund on May 05, 2025.

4. The petitioner is entitled to interest for the period from May 01, 2024 to May 05, 2025 at the rate of 6% per annum. Let the same be paid to the petitioner by the WBTCL within a period of one month from date.

5. In default of payment as directed above, the rate of interest shall stand increased to 9% per annum.

6. The writ petition is disposed of, without any order as to costs.
