Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had lodged a complaint before the police against the atrocities committed by the covillagers being the private respondents. Steps were taken by the police. As a result, after coming out of bail, the said accused and other co-villagers started disturbing, harassing and intimidating the petitioner and her family members. Police help was sought, but was denied. The petitioner and her family members had to flee away from their own homes and are unable to return without police protection.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the private respondents submits as follows. The allegations made in the writ petitioner are denied. In fact, the private respondents are the ones who are at the receiving end. Complaints have been filed by both the sides.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Complaints and counter complaints have been filed by the private parties. All have been entertained and necessary steps have been taken by the police authorities. In two of the FIRs, charge sheets have already been submitted.

It appears that there is a dispute between the private parties. However, there is no excuse for obstruction being created for any of the parties to stay at their residence. Let the petitioner intimate the Officer in Charge of Bhagawanpur Police Station about their intended date and time to return to their house with a 24 hours' notice. The Officer shall make necessary arrangements for police personnel to escort the petitioner and her family members to their residence. The entry of the petitioner and the family members to their house shall be videographed. Even otherwise, the police authorities shall maintain a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place.

The police authorities shall engage in sending the regular police patrols at the place.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed

of.
