The petitioners seek a fair and impartial investigation of the complaint lodged by them.

It appears from the report that there is a long standing land dispute between the petitioners and the private respondents and several complaints have been lodged by both the parties which have culminated in charge sheets upon completion of investigation. However, the police authority is directed to ensure that no untoward incident takes place and there is no breach of law and order in the area.

With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
