The petitioner is an Assistant Professor at Manbhum Mahavidyalaya, Purulia.

The petitioner made an application for his transfer before the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal on September 12, 2022. The relevant college also granted 'No Objection' for the transfer of the petitioner.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that his prayer for transfer is pending before the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal for more than one year. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that a direction may be given upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to consider the prayer for transfer of the petitioner in a time bound manner. In view of the aforesaid facts, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to consider the prayer for transfer of the petitioner, as appearing at page 31 of the

writ petition, within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 21945 of 2023 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
