It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about one year and four months. It is further submitted there is slow progress in the trial of the case.

Report is filed on behalf of the State. It appears from the report that date has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence on 03.12.2022.

In view of the aforesaid fact and the materials on record implicating the petitioner in the crime, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
