The petitioner submits that he has been provided with a temporary electricity connection for operating a submersible pump set and now seeks a permanent connection.

Learned advocate appearing for WBSEDCL submits that steps have already been initiated to provide a permanent electricity connection to the petitioner. It is further submitted that due to the ongoing Aman crop season, the work for laying the permanent line could not be completed. Additionally, it is submitted that an amount of Rs. 27,999/-, excluding late payment surcharge, remains outstanding and payable by the petitioner on account of electricity consumption.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, however, submits that the petitioner is willing to pay the outstanding dues, if any.

In view of the above, there is no justification for keeping the writ petition pending.

WBSEDCL is directed to provide a permanent electricity connection for the petitioner's submersible pump set by the end of this year, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all necessary formalities and clearance of the outstanding dues.

Accordingly, WPA 22107 of 2025 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
