UPON READING a Petition of Sunil Basak and his affidavit of verification thereof dated 13th January, 2020 and the exhibits or annexures to the said petition and upon hearing Mr. Md. Yamin Ali, learned Advocate for the petitioner, IT IS ORDERED that a Rule do issue calling upon the sole alleged contemnor Sri Soumyajit Das, Joint Secretary, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal, Joint Administrative Building, Block HC-7, Sector-III, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700106 as stated in the contempt application, to show cause why he should not be committed to prison or otherwise penalized or dealt with for having willfully violated the order dated 19.11.2019 passed in W.P. 20236 (W) of 2019.

The Rule is made returnable on 26.02.2021.

On the returnable date, IT IS ORDERED the alleged contemnor-respondent aforesaid shall appear personally before this Court at 10-30 a.m. and shall not leave the Court without permission.

Let the rule be served personally upon the alleged contemnor by special messenger requisites of which shall be put in by the petitioner within a week from date.
