By presenting this writ petition, inter alia, petitioner has prayed for publication of result of 1st State Level Selection Test for recruitment of non-teaching staff which was conducted by the West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission. It is further submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that the petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed in the post of Librarian but due to failure on the part of the Commission to publish result/ panel in connection with the aforesaid selection process, petitioner is in dark.

On the contrary, it has been submitted on behalf of the Commission that written examination was held on 29th March, 2011 and the result was published on 7th May, 2012 based on which a panel was prepared which

expired on 7th May, 2013. According to the Commission, the writ petition is not maintainable on the ground of delay since same has been instituted much after expiry of the panel.

Having considered the submission made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the fact that the panel which was prepared in connection with the aforesaid selection process expired far back on 7th May, 2013 and the present writ petition has been filed on 8th September, 2023, precisely 10 years after expiry of the panel there is no scope of interference in the present writ petition. It is trite law that after expiry of the panel a candidate looses right to be considered in connection with the particular selection process.

Hence, Writ Petition stands dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
