We have considered the materials on record. Evidence of the victim and other witnesses implicate the petitioner who is the maternal uncle of the minor in the offence of penetrative sexual assault.

In view of gravity of the offence and incriminating evidence on record, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
