Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 2 years and the subject matter of recovery is 31.940 Kgs. of Ganja. Till date according to the petitioner no witness has been examined and charges have not been framed.

On behalf of the Prosecution/NCB it has been submitted that two of the accused persons are absconding. As such the next date has been fixed on 30.01.2026.

I direct the learned Trial Court to ensure that after exhausting the process, if required, by splitting up of the trial, charges be framed by 28.02.2026 as a matter of priority. The seizure list witnesses be examined in the month of March, 2026.

The same be completed by 31.03.2026.

Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court after the examination of the seizure list witnesses are over. With the aforesaid observations, CRM(NDPS) 1188 of 2025 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
