1. In view of the fact that the petitioner has already deposited 50 percent of the final assessed sum and he is entitled to prefer a statutory appeal, we are of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not necessary.

2. Regard being had to the facts and submission, factum of permanent residence of the petitioner, nature of allegation and nature of offence, it is directed that the petitioner shall be released on bail in the event of his arrest by the learned Special Court under Electricity Act at Hooghly, in the aforesaid P.S case on such terms and conditions as deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

3. The petitioner is directed to appear before the I.O within two weeks from today along with a server copy or certified copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is allowed and the same is accordingly disposed of.
