The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for a direction upon the respondent no. 1, i.e., CESC Limited for providing electric connection in the premises of the petitioner situated at P-233, Upen Banerjee Road, Parnashree Pally, P.S. Parnashree, Kolkata.

The Senior Engineer, South West District, CESC Limited has submitted the report wherein it is found that during the inspection of the premises in question, it was found that there is no electric connection in the premises of the petitioner. The CESC authorities are ready and willing to provide a new service connection with a Block Meter in favour of the petitioner subject to compliance with all formalities by the petitioner along with payment of required charges for grant of new electric connection.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is also ready and willing to comply with all

the formalities and will pay the required charges to the CESC Limited for obtaining electric connection. 4.

In view of the above, the CESC Limited is directed to provide a new service connection with a Block Meter in the premises of the petitioner subject to compliance with all formalities by the petitioner including the payment of all necessary charges within a period of four weeks from the date of compliance of all formalities by the petitioner.

It is made clear that if the CESC finds that there is any obstruction from any of the parties including the private respondents, the Officer-in-Charge, Parnashree Police Station shall provide appropriate police assistance to the CESC authorities for providing the electric connection in the premises of the petitioner. 6.

Accordingly, WPA 22179 of 2025 is disposed of. 7.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities.
