1. The petitioner complains of inaction by Baranagar Police Station in respect of a complaint against the private respondents.

2. Baranagar Police Station has registered an FIR No.570 of 2022 dated 30th September, 2022 under Sections 341/323/406/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act and investigation is on. Two of the respondents have surrendered before the Court below and have been enlarged on bail.

3. It is ordered that the investigation into the subject FIR be completed mandatorily and positively within a period of one month from date, unless already so done. Baranagar Police Station shall ensure that the petitioner is not in any way disturbed by the private respondents.

4. Baranagar Police Station has filed a report dated 1st November, 2022 in the form of instructions addressed

to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta, which is taken on record.

5. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
