In Re: CRAN 2 of 2024:

The petitioner was granted interim bail on October 9, 2023, inter alia on the condition that he would meet the Investigating Officer once in a week until further orders. On January 10, 2024, the interim bail was confirmed on the same terms and conditions as had been imposed on October 9, 2023.

Now, the petitioner says that he has been complying with all the conditions scrupulously and the condition requiring him to meet the Investigating Officer every week should be relaxed. He is 74 years old.

Learned Advocate for the State says that the investigation is not yet complete and charge sheet has not yet been submitted. Therefore, the petitioner should report to the Investigating Officer as and when required to do so. The petitioner agrees to do so. Accordingly, the condition of bail requiring the petitioner to report to the Investigating Officer once every week is waived.

However, the petitioner shall meet the Investigating Officer as and when required. All other conditions of bail remain unaltered. CRAN 2 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.
