1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.
2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the act of the Distribution Company Limited in not providing electricity connection to him despite receipt of the payment for obtaining new connection.
3. Learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited submits, upon instruction that, the application of the petitioner was processed and an inspection was conducted. It was detected that the petitioner is already enjoying electricity connection from meter no.430635. As the petitioner is already enjoying electricity, accordingly, her prayer for electricity has not been allowed.
4. The Court is of the opinion that the Distribution Company Limited ought to have intimated the petitioner the reason for not providing the electricity connection. In the absence of the reason for not providing electricity connection being communicated to him, it will not be possible for the petitioner to proceed further with her claim.
5. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Station Manager to intimate the fate of the application made by the petitioner seeking new electricity connection at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
6. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
