The petitioner is aggrieved by the non-disbursal of the 10 years' increment which is due to her for the period 20th July, 2019 to 30th June, 2023. She also alleges that the House Rent Allowance paid to her has not been paid for the months of July and August of the financial year 2022-2023.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that the School has already requested the District Inspector of Schools to release the payment of the arrear House Rent Allowance to the petitioner vide communication dated 6th December, 2022.

Upon perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition and on hearing the submission made on behalf of the parties it appears that the
petitioner is yet to submit a formal representation seeking release of her arrears.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that, it will be open for the petitioner to file a comprehensive representation highlighting all her grievances annexing documents in support of her claim.

In the event such representation is made, the same shall be considered by the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Barrackpore, in accordance with law, at the earliest, after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

The aforesaid respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner.

If any amount is found due and payable, the same shall be released in favour of the petitioner without any further delay.

Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.
10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
