1. We are informed by Mr. Sayan Datta that office of the learned State counsel has received written instructions regarding acceptance of resignation of the petitioner of the present case subject to vigilance clearance.

2. Mr. Roy appearing for the petitioner submits that there is no indication in the instructions, copy of which is being served on him today as to how much time the vigilance clearance would take

3. In view of such submission we consider it appropriate to observe that vigilance clearance should be expedited and a formal decision in this regard taken by the authorities expeditiously and preferably within four weeks from date, if already not done.

4. The writ petition is disposed of.

5. The written instructions dated 06.11.2025 is taken on record.
