IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

Item No.6 CRIMINAL REVISIONAL JURISDICTION Ct.No.34 dc.

C.R.R. 3020 of 2017 with CRAN 3 of 2019 (Old No. CRAN 180 of 2019) (Via Video Conference) Atmoja Chatterjee nee Atmoja Acharya versus The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Kaushik Gupta, Mr. Anirban Tarafder, Mr. Arnab Nandi ... For the Petitioner.

Ms. Faria Hossain, Ms. Debjani Sahu, Ms. Baisali Basu ... For the State.

Ms. Debjani Sahu, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report of Officer-in-Charge, Patuli Police Station. The said report dated 16.09.2021 be kept with the record.

The report reflects that supplementary charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court. There were justified grounds for the petitioner challenging the initial charge-sheet and its deficiencies.

Having regard to the deficiencies pointed out by the petitioner, this Court from time to time passed necessary directions upon the investigating agency and presently this Court feels that further pendency of this revisional application is unwarranted as sufficient materials have been collected by the investigating agency by exercising its power under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Accordingly, the learned Magistrate is directed to proceed with the case and take the same to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 3020 of 2017 is disposed of. Interim order, if any, is hereby vacated.

All pending connected applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
