The contents in the writ petition are in respect of an application preferred on 22nd of March, 2024 with the BL&LRO for correction of record of rights.

The petitioner claims that the private respondents have illegally

encroached in his property.

As the subject-matter of this writ petition relates to correction of record of rights, the police authorities have nothing to do in this regard.

The petitioner is to first establish his right and title over the property and then, only, the police authorities would act. In case, the petitioner has appropriate documents in his custody, which establishes his right and title in respect of the property complained of, he would have his remedies either before the learned jurisdictional civil court or the learned jurisdictional criminal court. As such, no interference is called for by this court.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 22702 of 2024 is disposed of.
