From the affidavit of compliance that has been filed by Karuna Shee, Pradhan, Santipur 1 No. Gram Panchayat affirmed on 28th February, 2024 it appears that the proceeding to deal with the unauthorized construction has been forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Tamluk for taking further consequential steps vide communicating memo of the Pradhan being No.53/S-1/2024 dated 27th February, 2024.

On perusal of the said communication, it appears that all the documents in connection with the proceeding to deal with the unauthorized construction have not been forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer. The Pradhan is directed to forward all the documents in connection with the demolition proceeding to the Sub-Divisional Officer positively by

24th May, 2024. The Sub-Divisional Officer shall take steps in the matter in accordance with law after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties.

Contempt application is disposed of.

Contempt Rule stands discharged.
