1. A status report with regard to the trial filed in Court today on behalf of the State is taken on record.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 9 years. There is delay in trial. Therefore, the prayer for bail may be allowed on any terms and conditions.

3. On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner committed the murder in course of robbery. He further submits that the trail is at fag end, cross-examination of last witness, IO of the case is going on. Therefore, the prayer for bail may be rejected.

4. I have considered the materials on record and on perusal of the report and the offence as alleged against the petitioner is serious

in nature and his involvement cannot be ruled out at this stage. In view of the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to allow the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

5. The Trial court is requested to expedite the trial as early as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

6. Accordingly, the application for bail is, thus, rejected.

7. The application for bail being C.R.M. (M) 1747 of 2025 stands disposed of.
