This is an application filed by the defacto complainant for cancellation of bail granted to the accused by the learned Trial Court by order dated August 23, 2024. 2.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner says that he is not pressing for cancellation order at this stage. However, the accused/opposite party should be restrained from threatening or intimidating the defacto complainant in any manner.

Learned Advocate for the State has filed a report, which is basically to the effect that on enquiry, the State has not found that the accused has meted out any threat or has intimidated the defacto complainant or any of her family members.

Learned Advocate for the accused says that his client has never threatened or intimidated either the defacto complainant or any of the witnesses or anybody else. 5.

It goes without saying that no accused person, who has been extended the privilege of bail, can mete out threats or intimidate anybody far less the defacto complainant or the witnesses.

Therefore, we dispose of this application for cancellation of bail by recording the assurance given to us by learned Advocate for the accused that his client will not intimidate or threaten either the defacto complainant or any of her family members or any of the witnesses or anybody concerned with the criminal action.

CRM (DB) 3037 of 2024 is, accordingly, disposed of. 8.
