1. The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of New Barrackpore Police Station in respect of a complaint against the private respondents.

2. The private respondents are the partners of the late husband of the petitioner and the petitioner has not given her share of the partnership business. They have also not permitted her to enter into the premises although the land belongs to the petitioner's late husband.

3. New Barrackpore Police Station has registered an FIR being No.420 of 2022 dated 30th October, 2022 under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code.

4. After investigation, charge-sheet being C.S. No. 75 of 2023 dated 26th February, 2023 under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code has been submitted.

5. This Court is of the view that the petitioner may also have civil claims against the private respondents, which may be pursued in accordance with law.

6. This Court finds no inaction on the part of the New Barrackpore Police. The Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area.

7. The Police Station has filed a report dated 2nd May, 2023 in the form of instructions addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta. The same is kept with the record.

8. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

9. There will be no order as to costs.
