1. The petitioner is aggrieved by the provisional assessment being made by WBSEDCL. The inspection report annexed to the writ petition mentions that the consumer is enjoying electricity by means of direct hooking. Charge of theft has been leveled.

2. The petitioner has already raised an objection. The petitioner claims that the same is yet to be considered and disposed of.

Learned advocate representing the Distribution Company Limited submits, upon instruction that, the final assessment has already been made.

4. The Assessing Officer and the Station Manager, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Mathurapur Customer Care Centre is directed to take

steps to consider the written objection filed by the petitioner, if not already considered earlier, and pass reasoned order.

5. If the final assessment, as submitted by the learned advocate for the Distribution Company, has already been made, then the same shall also be communicated to the petitioner, if not already done.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
