The petitioner claims that his property has been sealed by the Kalighat Police Station in connection with UD case No.24/19. The petitioner's tenant and occupier are stated to have died thereat. The petitioner seeks return of possession of his property from the police.

This Court is of the view that the writ petition cannot be entertained since the petitioner has effective alternative remedy under the Cr. P.C., inter alia, under Chapter XXXIV thereof.

Hence, the writ petition is disposed of without any orders.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the Officer-in-Charge, Kalighat Police Station is taken on record.
