The petitioner has been working as a Health Assistant at Paschim Dwarakapur Sub-Center under Madhabnagar Rural Hospital.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted the status "Trainee Reserve" by the State to join the General Nursing Midwifery Course at Sister Nivedita N.T.S. College.

It has been submitted that the said institute is about 150 kilometers away from the residence of the petitioner and she encounters substantial challenges to attend the said college while also looking after her son. The petitioner made a prayer before the Director of Health Service (Nursing), West Bengal to allow her to enroll at Falta JIS Nursing Institute, South 24 Parganas which is located at a nearby place from her residence. The petitioner made a representation before the Director of Health Service (Nursing), West Bengal for

the said transfer but the same has not yet been considered.

I am of the view that this writ petition need not be kept pending.

Accordingly, WPA 22154 of 2023 is disposed of with a direction upon the Director of Health Service (Nursing), West Bengal to consider the representation of the petitioner appearing at page 35 of the writ petition within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order in accordance with law. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
