Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The matter relates to registration of reconveyance deed of a mortgaged property.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that way back on 6th September, 2018 the petitioner was directed to make arrangement for registration of the approved reconveyance deed and inform the office the probable date and time for registration. The petitioner prepared the draft deed and forwarded the same to the Administrator General with request to forward the details of the person authorized for registration for intimation to the registering authority but the same has not been intimated to the petitioner till date.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen and the registration ought to be done soon.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that the authority has already accepted payment in respect of the mortgaged property and the deed is also ready but registration cannot be done for want of the details of the authorized officer of the respondent authority.

The Administrator General of the State of West Bengal being the respondent no.2 herein is directed to intimate the petitioner the details of the authorized officer who will be present at the time of execution of the subject deed within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

The respondent no.2 shall render all cooperation to the petitioner to ensure that the reconveyance deed is registered at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
