Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that for one year six months the petitioner is in custody and there is hardly any progress in the case resulting in the petitioner unnecessarily languishing in jail. Learned advocate for the State on the other hand submits that the evidence of the investigating officer is in progress and presumably the prosecution would complete the said evidence on the next date so fixed.

In view of the trial at the fag-end, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (M) 1738 of 2025 is dismissed.

Learned trial Court is directed to pronounce the verdict by 31st of March, 2026.

No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties and the trial as well as the arguments of the case would continue in spite of the resolution of the local bar. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
