CRR No. 3968 of 2024 In Re: Rahul Kaloya Mr. Rowsan Kumar Jha ... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of G.R. case no. 413 of 2014 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 15th Court, Calcutta presently redesignated as Judicial Magistrate, 15th Court, Calcutta, the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that charge-sheet was submitted on 12th March, 2015 and learned trial Court framed charges on 5th July, 2016. Out of five charge-sheeted witnesses only one witness has been examined till date.

Keeping in view the age of the proceeding, the learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
