Learned counsel for the petitioner, by drawing the attention of this Court to the order dated February 18, 2020, submits that despite the petitioner having applied online for fresh electricity connection pursuant to the said order, the same has not yet been processed by the CESC Limited.

Learned counsel for the CESC Limited, on instruction, submits that an offer letter in respect of the application for new connection of the petitioner has already been issued by the CESC Limited. However, due payment has not yet been made by the petitioner.

It is further submitted that the offer letter has spent its force in view of expiry of ninety days

thereafter and, as such, a new offer letter has to be issued.

Hence, the CESC Limited shall issue a fresh offer letter on the basis of the online application filed by the petitioner within a week from date.

On such offer letter being sent to the petitioner, the petitioner shall comply with the requisite formalities.

Upon such compliance, the CESC Limited shall give the electricity connection to the petitioner, preferably within three weeks from the date of compliance of such formalities.

WPA No. 20469 of 2019 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
