(AB) Mr. Srikanta Dutta Mrs. Rituparna Sarkar Dutta ...... for the petitioner The grievance of the petitioner is that his application praying for allotting a sub-holding number has not been considered by the Municipality since 2007.

It appears that the petitioner submitted an application for allotment of sub-holding number of the holding No. 27, Ward No. 11, Dag No. 309, Khatian No. 2274, Kolkata - 700 144 and the said application was received by the Baruipur Municipality on 11.04.2007.

The petitioner thereafter again made an application in the prescribed format along with the supporting documents on 2nd August, 2018. The petitioner complains that the same has not been considered by the Baruipur Municipality till date. None appears on behalf of the Municipality.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the respondent authority to consider and dispose of the application made by the petitioner for allotment of sub-holding number, strictly in

accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The aforesaid respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the application dated 11th April, 2007 and 2nd August, 2018 along with all the supporting documents at the time of communicating the order of the Court. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon completion of usual legal formalities.
