1. From the case diary produced before us today, we, prima facie, find compliance of Section 57 of the NDPS Act which reads as follows :

"57. Report of arrest and seizure - Whenever any person makes any arrest or seizure, under this Act, he shall, within fortyeight hours next after such arrest or seizure, make a full report of all the particulars of such arrest or seizure to his immediate official superior."

2. Since non-compliance of Section 57 of the NDPS Act was the only point urged by the petitioner, we dismiss this bail application keeping in mind that commercial quantity of contraband items is involved.

3. CRM (NDPS) 1448 of 2024 is dismissed.

4. Since the petitioner is in custody for 11 months, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the extent the business of the Court may permit and conclude the same on an early date.
