Petitioner is an assistant teacher in Computer Science and was appointed in Kalna Hindu Girls' High School on 1st April, 2005. Petitioner prays for sanction of postgraduate scale of pay on acquiring postgraduate qualification in Computer Science which according to the petitioner is her subject of teaching. It is also submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that she was appointed under Hons./PG category with Hons. qualification in Computer Science and after her appointment in the year 2005 she had undergone postgraduate course and obtained postgraduate qualification in Computer Science in 2009. Subsequently, vide transfer order issued by the concerned authority of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission dated 24th November, 2014 petitioner was transferred from Kalna Hindu Girls' High School to Ariadaha Sarbamangala Balika

Vidyalya, District-North 24 Parganas and thereafter petitioner through her learned advocate made prayer for sanction of postgraduate scale of pay before the concerned respondent authorities.

State-respondents are represented by learned advocate who has submitted that if the concerned District Inspector of Schools is directed, decision shall be taken in accordance with law relating to sanction of postgraduate scale of pay.

Since no formal representation has been made by the petitioner leave is granted to the petitioner to make a comprehensive representation which is to be addressed to the District Inspector of Schools (SE) Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas being respondent no. 7 by fortnight from date claiming postgraduate scale of pay for acquiring higher qualification. If such representation is made within the aforesaid time the respondent no. 7 shall take decision by passing reasoned order on entitlement of the petitioner to receive postgraduate scale of pay after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or her representative and the representative of her present school.

The decision to be taken by the respondent no. 7 shall be communicated to the petitioner within 1 (one) week thereafter.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
