The petitioner filed the instant writ petition on 12th September, 2023 alleging that the police were not taking proper steps to investigate FIR No. 650 of 2023 dated 24th August, 2023.

Further grievance of the petitioner is that appropriate sections have not been added in the FIR. It has been submitted that the police officers of the Beldanga P.S. along with the private respondents who are extremely influential political leaders of the locality are threatening the petitioner to withdraw the complaint that has been lodged.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents relies upon the report forwarded by the Inspector of Police, Beldanga P.S. dated 20th November, 2023 which mentions that on completion of the investigation, charge sheet being Beldanga P.S. C. S. No. 735 of 2023 dated 31.10.2023 under Sections 341/323/325/506/34 IPC has been submitted.

As the charge sheet has already been submitted, it will be open for the petitioner to approach the learned

Court in seisin of the matter for further necessary relief including adding up further sections, if so advised. The Inspector-in-Charge, Beldanga P.S. is, however, detected to ensure that no harm is caused to the life and property of the petitioner in any manner whatsoever.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
