Petitioner participated in 2nd State Level Selection Test, 2025 for the post of Assistant Teacher for Classes IX-X. However, in reference to a document at page 53 of the writ petition, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she could not disclose her past teaching experience in connection with service she rendered as a teacher in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. It is also submitted that at the heading of the page which was available online on the website of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (for short, "Commission") it was stated whether the applicant is working as Assistant Teacher in any

aided/sponsored school under West Bengal Government. Since petitioner was not working in a school run and aided by West Bengal Government she did not indicate her past experience as Assistant Teacher while submitting her online application. Prayer is made for awarding marks to the petitioner considering her past experience as a teacher of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Mr. Singh, learned advocate representing the Commission on instruction submits that if petitioner would have indicated past experience as a teacher in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya while submitting online application her past experience could have been taken into consideration for awarding marks. It is submitted that due to failure on the part of the petitioner to indicate her past experience while submitting online application the Commission would be in difficulty to award marks for past experience. 4.

Considering the case made out in this writ petition, Court finds that petitioner was under dilemma while submitting online application whether she would indicate her past experience due to heading of relevant page which was available on the website of the Commission. It is evident from the copy of relevant page which is at page 53 of the writ petition that at the heading it

is stated, "Are you working as Assistant Teacher in any Aided /Sponsored School under West Bengal Government?" Petitioner found at the time of submitting online application since she worked in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which was neither aided nor sponsored school under West Bengal Government her past experience as a teacher in said school was not required to be disclosed.

However, after hearing learned advocate representing the Commission it appears that disclosure of past experience as a teacher in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya would make the petitioner eligible to be awarded marks for her past experience.

In view of aforesaid consideration, petitioner is granted leave to make an application to the Secretary of the Commission being respondent no. 4 praying for consideration of her past experience by 26th September, 2025. In the application petitioner shall disclose necessary particulars along with supporting documents of her past experience as a teacher of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. If application is made within the aforesaid time to respondent no. 4, necessary steps shall be taken for awarding marks to the petitioner considering her past experience, if she is found to be otherwise eligible.

With the aforesaid direction, writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
