The allegation of the petitioner of unauthorised construction has been found to be true. Despite the same the Municipality is not taking steps to demolish the unauthorised construction.

The Municipality is directed to invoke the provision of Section 218 of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993 and conclude the proceeding in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
