Mr. Ramkrishno Bhattacharya, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not given proper marks in B.A. (Hons.) - Paper I (Political Science) examination held in the year 2016. He draws attention of this Court to page 31 of the writ petition to point out that the relevant examiner at the top of the first page of the answer script remarked in writing as follows: "I cannot read this script, I am sorry". He submits that the said remarks shows that the answer script of the petitioner was not properly evaluated by the examiner.

It, however, appears that the petitioner was awarded thirty-six marks for the answers. Thereafter, he applied for review and upon review, the marks were enhanced to forty from thirty-six.

Learned advocate for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner was entitled to more marks against the answers given by him.

I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Though the remarks made by the initial examiner was uncalled for, the answer script was again reexamined by another examiner, who awarded additional four marks on review.

The assessment made by the examiner in review cannot be further reassessed by this Court in exercise of the writ jurisdiction.

The fact remains that the petitioner has been awarded pass marks and he had also been conferred the degree in the year 2017.

I do not see any reason to pass any order in this writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA 23830 of 2017 is dismissed.

There will be no order as to costs.
