The School Education Department, Secondary Branch vide Notification No. 666-SED-11099/55/2022-LAW SEC-Dept. of SE dated May 11, 2023 published in the Kolkata Gazette has declared that a diploma in Computer Science and Technology from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education is equivalent to Higher Secondary (+2 stage).

The copy of the said notification filed on behalf of the State be kept with the record.

Dr. Patra, learned counsel for the Commission, submits that in view of the aforesaid Notification, the Commission, within a period of one week from date, shall upload the revised result of the petitioner under a notice on its website. In view of the aforesaid development, no further order(s) need be passed in the present writ petition.

WPA 22654 of 2022 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
