Mr. Bose, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that on March 13, 2024, the West Bengal Regional School Service Commission (Northern Region), the respondent no.4 herein has verified the testimonials of the petitioner to process his prayer for compassionate appointment, he prays that the Commission be directed for issuance of recommendation for appointment.

Ms. Bhattacharyya, learned advocate for the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education submits that the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal, the respondent no.2 herein, in response to the requisition of her client, has sent 58 vacancies for Group-C and 3 vacancies for Group-D posts.

The Board is directed to send those vacancies to the respondent no. 4.

The respondent no. 4, thereafter shall issue necessary recommendation for appointment of the petitioner, if he is otherwise found eligible. The Board, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such recommendation, shall issue the appointment letter in favour of the petitioner subject to compliance of all formalities.

WPA 22271 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
