Ms. Faria Hossain, learned Additional Public Prosecutor is present in Court.

One report dated 25.04.2024 is received from the Officer-inCharge of Tangra Police Station to the effect that the petitioner of this Case i.e., Santosh Shaw died on 02.09.2019 along with the said report, a photocopy of the death certificate of the present petitioner has been annexed. 3.
Since the instant revision has been preferred challenging the judgment passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Fast Track Court, Bichar Bhawan, Calcutta in Criminal Appeal No. 26 of 2012, whereby and whereunder the said court upheld the finding of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 4th Court, Calcutta whereby the said court found the accused guilty for the offence under Section 16(1)(a)(i) read with Section 7 of the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954, thereby sentencing the accused to suffer R.I. for one year and to pay fine of Rs. 2,000/- i/d to suffer S.I. of one month more, this Court finds as rightly pointed out by Ms. Faria Hossain, learned APP that the
instant revisional application stands abated on the death of the revisionist.

With the aforementioned finding, the revisional application being CRR 2998 of 2012 is thus, disposed of.

Department is directed to send down the LCR along with a copy of this order to the trial court forthwith. (Partha Sarathi Sen, J.)
