Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the Haridevpur Police Station and prayed for expeditious and adequate steps to be taken.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Haridevpur P.S. Case No.479 of 2024 dated 13.08.2024 was registered for investigation.

Subsequently, on conclusion of investigation, chargesheet has been submitted against all the FIR named accused persons under the relevant provisions of law on or about 11th December, 2024.

Having considered that the police authorities have concluded the investigation, I am of the opinion that if the petitioner is aggrieved, he would take steps before the jurisdictional court in seisin of the issue. Petitioner if he is feeling insecured will take out an

appropriate application before the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of Witness Protection Scheme, which the learned Magistrate would consider in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 23046 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
