The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the respondents have been duly served. Despite service none appears for the State.

Ms. Jhuma Chakraborty, learned advocate who usually represents the State is present in Court today and is requested to appear in this matter. Let a copy of this writ petition be served S.D.

upon her in course of this day. Let her appointment be regularized by the Legal

Remembrancer.

The petitioner alleges that the police authorities have not taken any steps in spite of the fact that a complaint has been lodged with the officer in charge of the local police Station. He submits that only an FIR has been registered pursuant to such complaint but no effective steps thereafter has been taken by the police authorities.

The learned Advocate appearing for the private respondent submits that after the completion of investigation, Final Report no. 218 dated 28.6.24 has been submitted. In view thereof no further orders is required to be passed in this writ petition. The petitioner is left free to approach the concerned jurisdictional court for appropriate reliefs in accordance with law.

With the observations the writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no further order as to costs.
