Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a lady and has been in custody for 51 days and the investigation has already concluded, charge-sheet being filed before the jurisdictional court.
Mr. Basu, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners and submits that the act and conduct of the present petitioner exposes the deceitful means and harmful misappropriation.
I have perused the case diary and having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioner, I am inclined the grant bail to the present petitioner.
Thus, the prayer for bail of the present petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to furnish bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial
Magistrate, Chandannagore on the following conditions:- i) If on bail, the petitioner shall attend the Office of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandannagore once in a fortnight until further orders. ii) The petitioner is directed to inform her address and any subsequent change of address to the court of the learned A.C.J.M, Chandannagore or the trial court who would be in seisin of the case.
With the aforesaid observations, the application for bail, being CRM (SB) 241 of 2022 is disposed of.
