Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. A local boy had committed suicide. He was not known to the petitioner or his family members. Yet the petitioner's sister was made an accused in a case under Sections 306, 506 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The house of the petitioner's sister was ransacked and articles were looted away. The petitioner was constrained to lodge an FIR in this regard being Narendrapur Police Station Case No. 715 of 2023 dated 06.08.2023. However, police is not investigating the case properly. Moreover, the family

members of the petitioner are in mortal fear of further attacks by the local anti social.

Learned counsel for the State relies on the report and submits as follows. The police have acted on a complaint filed by the petitioner by registering a specific FIR. Two accused were arrested. The case is being investigated. It appears that the police have already acted on the complaint made by the petitioner by registering an FIR. In fact, two accused were arrested.

Let the investigation be concluded expeditiously and in accordance with law.

The police authorities shall also keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
