It is alleged that the petitioner's prayer for grant of higher scale of pay on enhancement of her educational qualification is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas for a considerable period of time.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned District Inspector of Schools to decide the petitioner's prayer strictly in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken without any further delay.

If the prayer is rejected, then a reasoned order disclosing the ground(s) of rejection shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
