Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. In spite of direction of this Court there is slow progress in the trial of the case. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Trial has substantially progressed. Most of the witnesses have been examined. Only examination of the Investigating Officer is left. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ajay Kumar Gupta,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
