The Bank prays for a direction on the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas being respondent no.2 to dispose of the application made by the petitioners under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act, 2002. The application was made on 13th May, 2022.

The respondent no.2 is represented.

The second proviso of Section 14 of the 2002 Act gives the time period within which the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate/District Magistrate is to pass an order for the purpose mentioned in the first proviso. W.P.A.22740 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.2 to dispose of the application of the petitioners within a period of four weeks from date.
