Bhattacharyya ....for the petitioners Mr. Rezaul Hossain ...for the State The petitioners participated in a selection process for engagement of Anganwadi Worker (AWW) for Raninagar - I, ICDS Project, District- Murshidabad, Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare. The petitioners sat for a written test on May 28, 2023. The petitioners' grievance is that sometime on or about August 29, 2023 the results of the written examination was published. However, the names of the petitioners did not feature in the said list. The said list does not contain the tabulation of marks obtained by all the selected and un-selected candidates. The petitioners made a representation on August 31, 2023 to the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Raninagar - I. However, till date no response have been given to the said representation.

Mr. Hossain, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State-respondents submits that the allegations made by the petitioners are incorrect.

Considering the rival submissions of the parties and the materials placed on records, this Court is of the

view that justice will be sub-served by directing the CDPO/respondent No. 3 or any authority delegated by him to consider the representation of the petitioners dated August 31, 2023 within 8 (eight) weeks from date. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners within 2 (two) weeks of passing thereof. The CDPO will indicate in the said reasoned order the marks obtained by the petitioners vis-a-vis the last selected candidate.

With the directions aforesaid WPA 22386 of 2023 is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been called for in the writ petition, the allegations contained therein be deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.
