The writ petition was filed seeking for a direction upon the respondent authority for taking steps for demolition of the illegally constructed wall on the common passage between premises nos. 2A, 2B & 2C, Mullick Lane and 1, Mullick Lane, Police StationBhowanipore. Learned advocate for the petitioner has obtained instruction from her client that he does not intend to proceed with the writ petition any further.

As the petitioner has expressed his intention to withdraw the writ petition, accordingly, the said writ petition stands dismissed as 'withdrawn'.

Dismissal of the writ petition will not stand in the way of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to take steps in accordance with law to deal with any unauthorized construction as alleged in the writ petition.

Leave granted to the learned advocate Ms. Sweta Gandhi, to file Vakalatnama in the department in the course of the day.
